National University of Entre Ríos, created by Law No. 20,366, May 1973, arises as a crystallization of the efforts made by different sectors of the community for half a century entrerriana.

Since then the National University Entre Rios has been growing steadily and becoming established in its educational and scientific, with the constant supply of teachers, researchers, students, not teachers and society that gives all its support and sustains it.

This particular growth in the creation of new academic units, the transformation of existing schools and faculties, the opening of new undergraduate and degree in response to felt needs entrerriana community, the continued growth of students, the efforts made in encouraging research and openness to new ways of disseminating science and culture.

The April 26, 1986 is a historic day at the National University of Entre Rios, as it takes place in the city of Concepción del Uruguay, First University Assembly. From there comes the first President elected through the vote. Will be such an honor to the then Rector Normalizer, Dr. Eduardo Alberto Barbagelata.

Since then the University is governed by democratically elected authorities, through of their governing bodies formed with representatives of the different levels within it. The University Assembly in 2002, appointed Eduardo Asueta Cr rectory for the period: 2002 - 2005. 2006-2010

The presence of the National University of Entre Rios in the provincial territory conformation with decentralized, apart from national universities, which bring together all its activities in the same town. This circumstance makes up to 300 miles away among academic units and a complete tour of 800 kilometers.

The Rectory is located in the city of Concepción del Uruguay and Academic Units in the cities of Paraná, Concepción del Uruguay, Oro Verde, Gualeguaychú, Concordia and Villaguay. Your organization adopts the system of Powers: Economic Sciences, Science Education, Health Science, Food Science, Social Work, Agricultural Sciences, Engineering, Management Sciences and Food Science.
